Built in 1779, both the Stourbridge and Dudley Canal No:1 link Birmingham and the Black Country to the River Severn at Stourport.
Though the Dudley Canal had to deal with major construction and subsidence problems.
Leaving the leafy Stafford and Worcester, you climb up into the Black Country and eventually via the Dudley Canals to Birmingham.
There are narrow boat trips from the Bonded Warehouse in Stourbridge Town Centre and at The Red House Cone Mus.
For more information on the Stourbridge Canal, contact the Stourbridge Canal Trust at the Bonded Warehouse in Stourbridge.
