Droitwich Canal
Barge and Junction Canals
Hawford Junction to Hanbury Junction

Information

These two sections of canals, link the Worcester and Birmingham canal (Hanbury Junction) with the River Severn via the salt works at Droitwich.
The two sections which were completed in July 2011 form part of a ring of canals nicknamed "the weekend ring".
The Section from the Severn to Droitwich is called the The Barge Canal which now connects to the River Salwarpe for a short distance through the centre of Droitwich before returning to the original canal path for the Junction Canal at Swan Drive.

The canal is very rural, with few locks. Making it a ideal place to paddle your canoe/kayak. The new car park and access point just by the new bridge on the B4090 would make a good base either to explore this canal or the near by Birmingham and Worcester Canal.

More information is available from British Waterways.
